Things that once seemed like science fiction are now embedded in our daily life, thanks to machine learning. Every day, machine learning is making our systems and devices smarter — and changing the way we live.

In this three-course certificate program, you’ll explore how machine learning is reshaping the world — and what tools you’ll need to help make that happen. You’ll learn how to implement and evaluate learning algorithms for a broad range of applications. And you’ll work with the state-of-the-art Python libraries for machine learning, such as NumPy and PyTorch.

Those with a programming background who are preparing to pursue graduate study in electrical and computer engineering, as well as engineers, computer scientists and other professionals looking to expand their skillset and enter the machine learning field.  

Earn Credit Toward Your Master's Degree

By completing this certificate program, you can earn up to 12 credits toward degree requirements should you later be accepted into the UW Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering’s Professional Master’s Program. To use these credits, you must obtain graduate nonmatriculated status before you register for the first course of the program.
