Collaborate with Native Learners, Families and Communities
Next start date:
TBD
Native American learners, families and communities represent traditions and customs that impact and enrich their approach to education. Traditional methods of education include an awareness of how the learning process affects a Native learner’s innate life experiences. Those who work with tribal communities can develop meaningful and effective relationships from community-based views.
In this certificate program, participants will cultivate the essential skills needed for culturally appropriate engagement, teaching and learning with Native communities. These skills can help Native learners thrive and succeed, making their education and future careers relevant to the pressing needs of their communities
All courses are taught by top Indigenous faculty and instructors from the UW College of Education. See the program website for more information.
