ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To apply, you must:
- Have a basic understanding of how your camera functions
- Be familiar with the Exposure Triangle
- ISO sensitivity
- Aperture for controlling depth of field
- Shutter for freezing or recording motion
- Be familiar with camera settings
- Automatic and program mode
- Aperture priority mode
- Shutter priority mode
- Manual exposure mode

Time Commitment
Including time in class, you should expect to spend about seven to 10 hours each week on coursework.
English Proficiency
If English is not your native language, you should have at least intermediate English skills to enroll. To see if you qualify, make sure you are at the B2 level on the CEFR self-assessment grid. To learn more, see English Language Proficiency Requirements – Noncredit Programs.
International Students

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS
- Digital camera that can be set to manual exposure mode and RAW file format
- A sturdy camera tripod that extends to your standing height
- Portable USB hard drive of at least 4TB for storing your growing photo collection
- Access to a computer with a recent operating system and web browser
- Adobe Creative Cloud photography plan that includes Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC software
- High-speed internet connection
- Headset and webcam (recommended)
