Aasthaa Bansal
Associate Professor, UW Department of Pharmacy, Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy, and Economics (CHOICE) Institute
Aasthaa Bansal is an associate professor in the Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy & Economics (CHOICE) Institute in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Washington, and holds a joint appointment in the division of public health sciences at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.
Her research interests include prediction modeling for sequential decision-making, comparative effectiveness and outcomes research using large health care databases, addressing missingness in longitudinal patient data due to intermittent follow-up, and addressing discrimination in health care decision-making with machine learning algorithms. She served as a member of the ISPOR Health Sciences Policy Council from 2020-2022 and in 2022 and 2023, served as the scientific co-chair for the Society for Medical Decision Making Annual Meeting.
Bansal earned her Ph.D. and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in biostatistics from the University of Washington. See Bansal’s full profile.
