Meet the Instructors
Joe Brentin
Joe Brentin is a technology consultant with more than 15 years of experience applying geospatial technology to help clients make informed decisions. He currently works for PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he focuses on the integration of GIS and enterprise asset management technology transformation. Before joining PricewaterhouseCoopers, he worked in GIS positions in technology consulting and engineering as well as for local, state and federal governments. He has experience managing GIS and software development projects including strategy development and scoping, geospatial analysis and decision support, and field data collection and analysis.
Brentin has taught GIS courses for multiple colleges in Washington state. Most recently he was an instructor and then lab assistant for the UW Professional & Continuing Education Certificate in Geographic Information Systems program. He studied geographic information science at Central Washington University and holds a Master of Science in Strategic Planning for Critical Infrastructure from the University of Washington.
